Effective date: July 27, 2026

Overview

Aloha Senior Home Care (Aloha, we, us, or our) is a private, non-medical home care company based in San Diego, California. This Privacy Policy (the Policy) describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit our website, contact us, request information, or apply for a role with us.

It does not cover the separate way we handle a client's information once services begin, which is governed by our client agreements and applicable law. By using our website or reaching out to us, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit information to us. This Policy is provided for general information and does not create rights beyond those the law provides.

Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you complete a consultation or contact form, call us, email us, sign up for our newsletter, or apply for a job, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, mailing area, and any details you choose to share about your situation, the care you are seeking, or your background.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our providers may automatically collect limited technical information such as your device and browser type, a general location inferred from your IP address, the pages you view, the links you click, and how you arrived at our site. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

Information from other sources. We may receive limited information from our service providers, from analytics and mapping tools, or from people who refer you to us, such as a family member or a discharge planner acting on your behalf.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your questions and follow up about the care you are considering
  • Arrange and coordinate a free, no obligation consultation at your request
  • Send information, resources, or newsletters you have asked to receive
  • Review and respond to job applications
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and our services
  • Understand how our site is used and analyze and improve its performance
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or misuse of our site
  • Meet our legal obligations, enforce our terms, and defend legal claims

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. Trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, form processing, email delivery, analytics, and mapping, and who may use the information only to provide those services to us.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aloha, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will take reasonable steps to protect your information.
  • With your consent. When you have asked us to share it or have otherwise agreed.

Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help a website function and remember your preferences. We use essential cookies that are necessary for the site to work, and we may use analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors find and use our site so we can improve it.

We may use analytics tools and mapping services, such as Google Maps, which can set their own cookies and handle information under their own terms, which you can review on their websites. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can set your browser to warn you before accepting them. If you disable certain cookies, some parts of the site may not work as intended.

Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals. Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting or an opt-out preference signal, such as the Global Privacy Control. Where required by law, we treat a recognized opt-out preference signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser or device. We do not sell or share personal information in the first place.

Communications and Your Consent

When you give us your phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry and the services you asked about, by phone, text message, or email. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop the service related messages you need about a request you have made.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect the personal information in our care. Even so, no website, server, or method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot warrant the absolute security of your information.

Please avoid sending sensitive personal details through web forms or email. In particular, our website is not the place to share detailed medical or health information (see the note further down).

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy. To decide how long, we consider the nature of the information, why we collected it, and our legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it or to remove the details that identify you.

Your Rights and Choices

You have choices about how your information is used:

  • Access and updates. You may ask us to review or correct the information we hold about you.
  • Marketing and newsletters. You can opt out of our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
  • Cookies and signals. You can manage cookies through your browser and use an opt-out preference signal, as described above.

Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives you rights regarding your personal information, subject to certain exceptions:

  • Know and access. The right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

  • No retaliation. The right not to be treated differently for exercising these rights.

The categories of personal information we may collect are described in the sections above: identifiers such as your name, email, and phone number; internet or device activity; and a general location. We collect these from you directly and automatically through our website, use them for the purposes in this Policy, and disclose limited information to service providers who support our site.
