We want everyone to be able to use the Aloha Senior Home Care website with ease. Here is our commitment, and how to reach us if any part is hard to use.

Our Commitment

Aloha Senior Home Care is committed to digital accessibility, so that everyone, including older adults and people with disabilities, can use our website with ease and dignity. Because we care for seniors and their families, making our site simple to read, navigate, and act on is part of how we serve San Diego. We treat this as an ongoing responsibility, not a one time task.

Accessibility Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the widely recognized standard for making websites usable by people with a broad range of needs. These guidelines help ensure the site is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for as many visitors as possible.

What We Have Done

Steps we take to make the site easy to use include:

  • Semantic HTML with clear landmarks and a skip to content link
  • Full keyboard operation with a visible focus outline on every control
  • Color contrast that meets AA, with body text kept large and senior friendly
  • Text that reflows and stays readable when you zoom or enlarge it
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
  • Clear labels on form fields and buttons that are easy to tap
  • Respect for the reduced motion setting on your device

Compatibility with Your Tools

The site is built to work with current web browsers and common assistive technology, such as screen readers and screen magnifiers, and it supports browser zoom and text resizing. If you use an older browser or device, some parts of the site may look or behave differently.

Known Limitations

We work to meet our standard across the whole site. Some content provided by third parties, such as an embedded map, is outside our direct control and may not fully meet the same standard. Where that happens, we are glad to provide the same information another way, so no one is left without it.

An Ongoing Effort

We review the site as we build and update it, including checks with a keyboard and with screen readers, and we treat anything we find as work to do. As we add new features, we test them the same way and fix issues as we become aware of them.
