Why Aloha Senior Home Care exists

Built From What She Saw at the Bedside

After years at the bedside of other people's parents and grandparents, our founder Maya German saw too many seniors showing up for unplanned hospital visits that could have been prevented. So 5 years ago, she built something different.

We stay small and selective by design, so we can know every family by name, match every caregiver by personality, and notice the small changes before they become emergencies. Because our team is led by a nurse, we do not just respond when something goes wrong. We watch for it, catch it early, and keep families in the loop.

She built the agency she wished her patients had been going home to.

Our mission

Everyone Deserves to Age at Home

Aloha Senior Home Care exists to help every senior remain safe, independent, and at home for as long as life allows, through proactive, preventative care that catches what others miss.

Our vision

A world where growing older never means losing the home you love or the dignity you have earned.

And where no family faces the weight of caring for an aging parent or loved one alone.

What we stand for

The Values Behind Every Visit

Five values guide how we hire, how we train, and how we show up in your loved one's home.

Not clock watching. Not box checking. Real presence, every visit.

  • Aloha SpiritWarmth, compassion, and respect in every home we are welcomed into.
  • CommitmentWe follow through and see it through, especially when it is hard.
  • HumilityWe listen, we ask when we are unsure, and we keep getting better.
  • IntegrityWe do the right thing when no one is watching, and we keep our word.
  • TransparencyOpen, early communication with families. No surprises.

Meet the founder

Maya German, RN

“Hi, I'm Maya German, the founder of Aloha Senior Home Care. I spent years as a VA nurse, and I saw over and over how much a senior's whole trajectory can change when someone is simply paying attention.

I started Aloha Senior Home Care to bring the Aloha spirit into people's homes: helping seniors stay safe and independent, and giving their families room to breathe.

That is why I stay close to every care plan. Families should know there is a nurse behind the decisions, and that the caregiver in their home was chosen for them, not simply assigned.”
