Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities
We’re seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team, specializing in delivering non-medical home care services. This includes personal hygiene, household chores, and crucial support for our clients’ well-being and autonomy. As a caregiver, you’ll play a pivotal role in executing essential tasks outlined in the client care plan, with a focus on active monitoring, documentation, and communication of any changes to the supervisor. Join us in creating a nurturing community where your dedication makes a meaningful impact every day.
- Manage household affairs such as housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and running errands.
- Follow dietary instructions to prepare and serve meals; provide assistance with feeding when necessary.
- Support toileting needs, whether through the use of a bedpan, commode, or toilet.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Aid consumers with transfers and ambulation, incorporating the use of a cane, walker, or wheelchair.
- Remind and assist self-directing consumers with medication according to the client care plan.
- Administer routine skin care and aid self-directing consumers in applying nonprescription topical medications.
- Remind self-directing consumers of their home maintenance exercise programs.
- Assist in the emptying of indwelling catheter care bags.
- Provide reminders and guidance to self-directing consumers on changing tubing or refilling oxygen equipment tanks.

- 18+ years of age
- Able to read and write legibly
- Registered as a caregiver with the State of California (includes TB test, mandated reporter training, fingerprints/background test)
- Able to communicate effectively with fellow clients, co-workers, and office staff
- Able to recognize own limitations and request help when needed
- Able to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
- Able to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
- Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance, and complete a DMV check
